Alex is an exceptional acting coach who combines a deep understanding of acting techniques with an encouraging and positive teaching style that makes each class truly enjoyable.

Alex was a very kind and patient instructor, never pressuring us to give more than we wished to in class. By putting us at ease this way, I certainly felt he brought out a more relaxed, calmer version of myself, that I felt able to tap into again in other areas of life – work settings, for example.

I completed five courses last year and absolutely loved each one — I couldn’t recommend this school more. The teachers are wonderful and have met so many lovely people while doing these classes.

Alex is an amazing acting and communication teacher, I’m so grateful to have found his classes. I was really nervous and anxious before I started, but he really helps you to grow in confidence (and have fun at the same time). I’ve taken a number of courses with Alex now and honestly, I almost feel like a different person from the shaky girl who nearly didn’t walk into the room that first day. Earlier this year, I did my first ever proper audition, and got the part, and I was in a sell-out play. I even got a rave review!

Alex has this fantastic ability to put you at ease the moment you step into the rehearsal space. The invite is often simple enough, to give ‘it’ a go, and through his supportive facilitation, immense knowledge and gentle encouragement I have learned so much and continue to with each session.

I couldn’t recommend LAAC classes and Alex as a teacher more highly. I tentatively signed up for a beginner’s course earlier this year and within that eight weeks, I regained my spark and love for life.
